ahah, and so the once-in-a-lifetime medal playoff for singapore has just ended (: i'm saying this cause weightlifting has no playoff for medals, so technically it's not counted :D
wellll, firstly, i'd like to show irritation at people who are ignorant at games who comment as if they're all so great and know the game perfectly. although i'm fine with a few passing comments like, "she shouldn't have missed that," or "well played point," but commenting as if you know how difficult the game is, or have the
Complete Guide of 101 Strengths and Weaknesses of All Sportsmen, is just irritating!
heh, maybe it's cause i'm a sportsman myself, and it is frustrating sometimes when people pin expectations on you, not expecting anything less than a win. to us, viewing from a bird's eye view, we won't really know how the ball is travelling at, nor the speed at which it moves. down there, it might be a completely different story altogether, where pure concentration and Usain Bolt reflexes are required. yet, ignorant people, especially people who know nuts about sports, make rubbish remarks, commenting on how lousy the players are. if you're that great, you should go become their coach, or represent the country :D but you're not! so just like shut up and watch the game, and be awed by their prowessss. but well, i think zhang yining has great control over the ball, she manipulates the direction like crazy x.x and no, i know nothing about table tennis (:
this round of olympics have been quite amazing, with the two fastest men on the planet emerging. Michael Phelps the fish, and Usain Bolt from jamaica (what an ironic name). if you're living in the mountains, just to update you that phelps has tied for seven gold medals in a season, matching the world record, though athletes have been protesting cause swimming has the most events cause of the variety of strokes and distances, while for and atheletes you either run or jump, rarely both. (for more details, read The Straits Times, Sports section)
i've nothing more to say about Phelps, the media covers it all already (: but for Bolt, he's as amazing, he was so fast that the clock took a moment to decide if his timing was 9.68 or 9.69. but well, he was shown to have slowed down at his last 20m, cause he was so far away from the second position. quoting statistics from The Straits Times, the time between Bolt and the second position was 0.20s, while the last from the second, 0.14s. he even managed a victory pose before he crossed the line.
rawr okays, that's enough for now, i seem to be becoming like some commentator, or the person who gives a summary of the olympics daily on chnl 5. well, can't be helped i guess, cause i like sports :X
