i don't understand why people on escalators, can't just move to one side to make way for others who might be in a rush, and require to travel more quickly. it's just a form of basic courtesy i guess, not blocking the way. standing on both sides of the escalator is just as good as driving slowly on the first lane on the road, hogging the traffic and the overtaking lane. which is exactly how the escalator works as well, two lanes, the left for idlers and right for those in a hurry.
this is especially common in train stations during peak hours, whenever i get off the train, every single time without fail, and i mean without fail, there will be some inconsiderate soul who will just stand there. there he is, appreciating the blank scenery before him, not sparing a thought for the queue and the jam caused right behind him. all because of his artistic desire to see a lack of people before him. goodness, it's called a rush hour, people are rushing.
so the next time you step on one of these not-so-new inventions, please take a small step to the left and make way for others (: and if you do happen to be right behind that person, just embarrass the person with a loud 'excuse me', and compel him to shift!
on a side note, i think patapon looks scarily demonic.
